Slightly non-intuitive mechanics notwithstanding, the set is real fun though. after a while, the extra allies will time out and disappear.activate Mystic Ally right away to turn everyone into waves.attack an enemy to cause extra Mystic Allies to spawn. Then, the crudest boots doubles your mystic allies, whether they were called or not. They are passive, much like the 4 set mantra bonus. In my personal opinion youre better off trying a different. You will likely need to 'nerf' yourself and lower your damage output in order to do the set dungeon. So the 6 set bonus spawns all the mystic allies and their respective bonuses. For the Inna set dungeon you need to activate or 'unleash' the mystic allies when you have ten or more enemies within 10 yards of each other. So, the tl dr of proper max-wave-uptime rotation would be: Thats the trade off of not using Mystic Allies on bars - however you still get the pets and their passives. The same goes for when you wait too long to turn your blue man group into waves, as they can despawn in just a few seconds. If you activate Mystic Ally before they spawn (like at the very start of the rift, before attacking anything), you'll mess up the rotation. In short, you'll always have TWO allies on permanent wave-form thanks to the Crudest Boots, but the remaining allies pop in and out on an internal timer. The most that people said was "don't spam Mystic Ally", but refused to elaborate. This is exactly the kind of thing you'd think people would bring out in all those YouTube Inna guides that popped up before the season, but none of the 3-4 vids that I watched never even mentioned this. As I've never really played Inna before (not even before the rework), I've been going nuts trying to figure out the proper mechanics of spawning the allies, to the point where I thought the set was bugged.
